Response to wintry weather and the recently unveiled sign for the Kaskaskia-Cahokia Trail were the biggest topics at the Jan. 30 Randolph County Board of Commissioners meeting.
County Engineer Grant Deterding reported that with the considerable amount of snow that fell on the area on Jan. 24-25, the highway department crews were very busy with clean up. He said that with the wind and drifting, they spent around 24 hours straight plowing and clearing snow. Deterding wanted to thank all the crews for their hard work.
The commissioners also thanked Deterding and his crews for all of their work in dealing with the snow.
