Despite the recent winter storm, the Red Bud City Council held a brief meeting Monday night.
Mayor Susan Harbaugh took a moment to acknowledge the weather situation and thank the police, utility workers, citizens and business owners for all their work and clean up efforts from the storm.
While there was no discussion in the matter at the meeting, the council approved of an ordinance revising the city’s water and sewer rates.
At the December committee meetings, City Superintendent Josh Eckart had explained that a study had been done on the water and sewer rates. It was discovered that the costs for water have gone up.
