Commissioners consider second ROE assistant superintendent

A resolution to allow for a second assistant regional superintendent of schools was considered at the April 29 Randolph County Board of Commissioners meeting.

Monroe-Randolph Regional Superintendent of Schools Kelton Davis was on hand to discuss the matter and answer the commissioners’ questions.

He started off by noting that per state statute, like state’s attorneys, both regional superintendents and assistant superintendents of schools are paid by the state comptroller from corporate personal property replacement taxes, not local funds.
