Unfortunately, several area fire departments have had an increase in fire calls over the past week, forcing the firemen to not only battle the fires but also the extremely frigid weather.
One of the biggest fires in the area took place on the morning of Dec. 24 at the Randolph County Road District #1 location on Schuline Road.
