The Randolph County Board of Commissioners held a brief meeting on the morning of Dec. 23.
County Highway Engineer Mike Riebeling noted that they had opened bids for rock quotes from the local quarries. He then presented the commissioners with the annual hauling contract resolutions for Road Districts 1 and 4 with R & M Transportation.
Riebeling also gave a brief update from the winter storm that hit the local area on Dec. 22. He noted that the road crews did not have to plow too much snow, but all the trucks were up and running to put down salt and cinders on the roads.
