Red Bud High School varsity and JV cheerleaders competed at the 40th ICCA championships last weekend.
This is the third year in a row the varsity competed at the ICCA Championships held at the Springfield Convention Center. Before stepping foot on the mat, three athletes were recognized as scholar athletes for their GPA: Emme Deterding, Jeda Friess, and Ella Umbdenstock.
“The team started out strong in their opening with three standing tucks. Unfortunately, the team struggled with their quad stunt. They recovered and finished with a solid pyramid and great energy ending dance,” said Coach Miki Friess.
