Bids for both the Red Bud Business Park and city hall improvements were approved at a special city council meeting on Jan. 20.
During the regular committee meetings held earlier that night, Code Administrator/City Engineer Jeff Mueller discussed the bids for both with members of the council.
For the business park, he noted that they opened bids for phase one of the project on Jan. 16, and had received four bids.
The low bid was from Gelly Excavating of Highland at $890,466.88, which is well below the engineering estimate. Mueller noted that the company is well recommended.
