Admins report school year is off to good start

Red Bud School District administrators reported that this school year is off to a great start at the school board meeting on Aug. 17.

Elementary Principal Ryan McClellan noted there was a good turnout at the school’s open house event on Aug. 10.

He added that enrollment was at 602 students, from prekindergarten through eighth grade. This number is down slightly as last year’s eighth grade class was bigger than the kindergarten class coming in, but they have added some other new students this year.
