FIRST PLACE–The varsity volleyball team competed in their first tournament of the season at New Athens and brought home first place. It was a busy week for the varsity volleyball team with two regular season games followed by a tournament.
The team opened the season last Tuesday hosting Gibault. The Lady Hawks took the match in two sets, 25-17 and 25-14.
The next evening Red Bud hosted Triad and after three hard fought sets, Triad claimed the match. The Lady Musketeers edged Triad 25-20 for the first set, but fell 23-25 and 24-26.
