Virgil Edgar Kempfer, 96, of Red Bud, passed away on Dec. 26, 2024 at Red Bud Regional Hospital in Red Bud. The visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 2 at St. Peter United Church of Christ in Red Bud. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 2 at St. Peter United Church of Christ with Pastor Cory Hartz officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Leesman Funeral Home in Red Bud is in charge of arrangements.
