Village of Baldwin hired new police officer

Baldwin hired a new police officer at their Oct. 4 meeting.

At the village board’s Sept. 6 meeting, it was noted that Police Chief Alan Young had submitted his resignation.

Young had previously served as the village’s police chief for over 20 years. The board had presented him with a plaque and special badge on Sept. 7, 2021 in recognition of his retirement. Following Young’s retirement, the village was unable to find any officer(s) for the town, so on Feb. 15, 2022, they rehired him as the police chief.

Hired at the Oct. 4 meeting was Jason Juenger.
