Saturday, Aug. 19 was a big day for local organization Clifftop, as two of their volunteers were recognized as Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) Outstanding Volunteers of the Year, and the organization itself was honored with a Volunteer of the Year Award in Missouri.
IDNR recognized its 2023 Outstanding Volunteers of the Year Saturday morning at Conservation World at the Illinois State Fairgrounds. IDNR annually recognizes individuals and members of outdoor organizations for their volunteer service to the department and its mission to manage, conserve and protect Illinois’ natural, recreational, and cultural resources.
