It’s been a long year, but St. John the Baptist Catholic School was very excited to rededicate their school on the morning of May 13.
In the early morning hours of May 5, 2024, a fire broke out in one of the school’s classrooms in the southwest corner of the building. Thankfully, the fire was quickly spotted and contained in that one classroom. However, much of the building sustained smoke damage, requiring renovations of that portion of the building.
As classes resumed in the fall, a portion of the school’s classes had to be moved into trailers parked in the school parking lot.
