SJL takes third at state

The St. John Lutheran Cougars junior high golf team advanced to the SIJHSAA state tournament after taking second place in regionals last week. Kokopelli Golf Course in Marion was the site for the state tournament.

On a rainy Monday, the team overcame the elements and brought home third place with a three score finish of 260. Eighth graders Colby Hartmann and Liam Kilpatrick carded 83 and 88 respectively and seventh grader Sutton Jones shot 89. Eighth grader Cartr Hartmann finished with 94.
