Both the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and the Columbia Police Department are praising the heroic actions of several individuals following a plane crash in the Columbia area on Sunday.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office in a press release noted that at 12:12 p.m. on Dec. 8, the sheriff’s office, along with the Columbia Fire Department, Columbia EMS, Columbia Police Department and Arch Air Medical were dispatched to a field in the area of the 500 block of DD Road in response to a plane crash.
The location is just south of Traube Tents and Structures, and not too far from the Columbia Soccer Club fields.
