A revision to the school calendar, some personnel matters and end of the year activities were the biggest part of discussion at the April 16 Red Bud Board of Education meeting.
Looking at this fall’s school calendar, Superintendent Jonathan Tallman noted that they would be changing the school improvement day from Sept. 25 to Sept. 11. This is to accommodate a district wide recognition of the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks.
He explained that school improvement days are half days, and it would be a good opportunity to have the district focus and devote time to recognizing the anniversary that morning.
