SPREADING THE WORD–Rev. Dr. Timothy Beckendorf is a missionary in Botswana with Lutheran Bible Translators. He is pictured distributing to the Khwe people Bibles that had been translated into their language.
The members of St. John Lutheran Church, Baldwin, recently gathered on Reformation Sunday and heard the Rev. Dr. Timothy Beckendorf, missionary in Botswana with Lutheran Bible Translators, speak on the completion of the translation of the Khwedam Panoramic Bible.
The Khwe people of Botswana gathered in the Lord’s name April 11, with great joy for the dedication of the first-ever translation of the Bible in their mother tongue.
