On Saturday, the men and women’s cross country teams competed at the IHSA Regionals meet in Murphysboro. The weather was beautiful and the course was ready.
The Lady Musketeers took the field first at 9 a.m. Leading the way, as she has done most of the season, was freshmen Maggie Roy. Packing closely behind her were Clare Carnahan, Ava Deterding and Karleigh Liefer running within seven seconds of each other. Rounding out the scoring top five was Ellie Hahn. Team runners six and seven respectively were Aubree Gulley and Josie Schmidt.
