Following last month’s resignation of Pamela Poetker as the city’s administrative assistant, the Red Bud City Council approved several ordinances at the meeting Monday night to restructure city hall staff.
Passed in an omnibus vote without further discussion were eight ordinances. These ordinances covered: renaming/restructuring the position of city administrative assistant to administrative officer; created a new position of finance officer; eliminated the annual appointment of department head positions, as these are salaried positions; the elimination of administrative time; and residency requirements for the city code administrator, city superintendent, police chief and general administration.
