In the past week, recently elected (and appointed) county officials took their oaths of office at the Randolph County Courthouse.

Following their unopposed election wins on the Nov. 8 ballot, sworn into office on Dec. 1 were: Treasurer Justin Jeffers, Sheriff Jarrod Peters, Assessor Chris Koester and County Clerk Melanie Johnson.

Commissioner David Holder was present at that ceremony, but did not take his oath of office at that time.
