With several committees not having a quorum at the May 20 committee meetings, the Red Bud City Council had a bit more to discuss at their June 3 meeting. The biggest topic being the proposed facade grant program.
The goal of the facade grant program is to encourage businesses to improve their building’s “curb appeal” as a way of attracting visitors to town.
The program, as proposed, would allow businesses to apply for up to $15,000 in reimbursement, with $7,500 as 50/50 match and the other $7,500 as 25/75 match. The program would be on a first come, first served basis.
