Online codification project approved

Red Bud’s ordinances will soon be more accessible online, as on Monday night, the city council approved of going forward with a contract for the online codification project.

At last month’s committee meetings, Administrative Officer Jill Landgraf explained that she was wanting to put and host the city’s ordinance online on the city’s website.

While the ordinances are currently viewable online, they are not very user friendly. “It’s clunky,” Landgraf said.

Currently, it is broken into multiple pdf pages. The version of the ordinances is also from 2021, with some updates in 2023. But those updates are simply pdfs added to the bottom of the page. To find anything, people have to click through numerous pages of pdfs. “It’s there, it’s just difficult.”
