James Robert Scherle, affectionately known as Jim, 62, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025, at his residence in Palmyra, Virginia, with loved ones by his side. The visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 14 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Ruma. A funeral Mass to honor James’s life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 14 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Compassionate Cremation Services in Ruckersville, Virginia is in charge of arrangements.
