In honor of America’s 250 anniversary and Red Bud’s celebration for the nation’s 250th in August, the Red Bud Auxiliary to VFW Post 6632 donated an America’s 250 flag for the flag pole at Lincoln Park. The flag pole itself was donated by the Red Bud VFW Auxiliary in 1999 in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the VFW.
