Two letters of support were approved by the Evansville Village Board on Monday night for the Kaskaskia Regional Port District.
Bob Myerscough, on behalf of the port district, was on hand to discuss the letters and the need for support for upcoming port district projects.
The first letter is to support the Kaskaskia Regional Port District (KRPD) efforts to convert two of their diesel powered locomotives to electric battery. This will help reduce gas emissions and improve the air quality around the port.
