Various updates were the main topic of discussion at the Evansville Board meeting on Monday night.
The village has been working on trying to get a police officer in town for some time and has looked at several options. Before the board for their consideration at this meeting was an agreement with the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office.
Village President Kenny Kempfer noted that this one year contract would have the sheriff’s office provide 80 hours of police coverage each month at a cost of $2,500 per month. They will also submit a monthly police activity report to the board.
