Commissioners hear presentations

A couple of presentations were made during the public comments section of the Oct. 25 Randolph County Board of Commissioners meeting.

Several members of the Randolph County Care Center Auxiliary were present and wanted to discuss some of their concerns with the ongoing renovations there.

Deb Rathart, who noted that her father has been a resident there for three years and she has been a member of the auxiliary for around a year, stated that the commissioners should have received a letter about their concerns. Their biggest concern is for space.

“Looking at the plans,” she said, “there is a very small space in the remodel for the activities room.” Rathart added that the current room is full and they weren’t sure where all of their supplies would go, much less where they would have space to do activities.
