It was a short meeting last Friday for the Randolph County Board of Commissioners, with the biggest topic of discussion being a COVID-19 update.
Randolph County Health Department Administrator Angela Oathout noted that they are still dealing with the virus, but the number of cases is starting to go down again, and overall the Metro East region is doing well on metrics.
She reported that booster shots of the Pfizer vaccine have been approved and the health department has already given out some boosters.
At this time, Oathout said that boosters for both the Moderna and Johnson and Johnson vaccines have not been approved yet. She anticipates those boosters to be approved by the end of the year though.
