While not on the agenda for that day, the biggest discussion item at the Aug. 4 Randolph County Board of Commissioners meeting was rates for an energy contract.
Affordable Gas + Electric (AGE), is an energy market broker and the county has utilized their services in the past. The county’s contract through them will expire at the end of this month, so AGE Energy Consultant Bruce Wallace presented the commissioners with a variety of rates and options.
Wallace noted that in addition to the contract expiring, he anticipated rates going up in October, so he recommended to approve something soon.
