City asked again to pay for repairs

Damages to home were caused by water main break in June 2021

A resident again urging the city to do what she felt was the “right thing” and discussion on a proposed amendment to the Monroe – Randolph Enterprise Zone were the biggest parts of Monday night’s Red Bud City Council meeting.

Lois Mesnarich was in attendance to see if the council had made any decision on if they could give her any compensation for the damages caused to her home.

On the afternoon of June 12, 2021, the water main underneath the 300 block of South Main Street had broken, sending a strong spray of water along with rocks and pieces of asphalt flying.
