FLAG DAY CEREMONY–On Flag Day, June 14, members of Girl Scout Honor Troop 8317 and Red Bud VFW Post 6632 held a flag retirement ceremony.

PATRIOTIC DISPLAY–Just in time for Flag Day, the Liberty Bell of the West Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution placed a banner and 45 small flags at Ratz Memorial Park. Each flag represents one of the Revolutionary War patriots that are buried in Randolph County. People are welcome to scan the QR code on the banner to read short biographies about many of these patriots. The banner will be up through July 4. (The flags were up for Flag Day and have been taken down for mowing, but will be back for July 4.) Pictured with the display when it was set up are: DAR member Sandy Eckart, Mayor Susan Harbaugh and City Superintendent Josh Eckart.
