Reports on the start of the year were the biggest part of the Aug. 21 Red Bud Board of Education meeting.
“It’s been a busy week and a half getting going,” Elementary Principal Mitch North said in his administrator report. “But we’re off to a good start and everything seems to be moving smoothly.”
He added that it was really refreshing and good to hear just how welcoming returning staff were to the new staff members. He also shared some gratitude statements from staff to those that helped them start out the year.
There is a new schedule being implemented this year for the fifth through eighth grades. “We’re working through the hiccups and had to tweak it a little, but it’s good overall,” North reported.
