Volleyball teams hit the court this week

It’s show time for Red Bud High School’s volleyball teams this week.

“We are so excited to get to play, we aren’t even worried about the shortened season,” said Head Coach Erin Legendre.

“Right now we want to play as many games as possible and allow our players the chance to compete! It’s been 497 days since our last game, and we can’t wait to get out and play,” Legendre added.

Senior Olivia Carle, outside hitter, returns this season and has committed to SWIC. Outside hitter Makayla Whelan has also committed to SWIC. Seniors Kassidy Ellner and Lexi Price are the defensive specialists for the team and Jenna Salger, 2019 All Conference selection, is the team’s setter.

“Unfortunately we will be doing without our 2019 All Conference middle hitter, Claire Grohmann, who is out with knee surgery. Claire will be helping us on the sidelines and will be getting stronger each day to be ready to compete at the collegiate level next year,” said Legendre.
