TOWN HALL MEETING–Regional Superintendent of Schools Ryan McClellan and Evansville Village President Kenny Kempfer are pictured speaking at the “emergency town meeting” held on Sept. 12 to address the possible closure of Evansville Attendance Center.
Quite a crowd showed up both on Sept. 10 and Sept. 12 to show support for keeping Evansville Attendance Center open.
On Sept. 10, the Sparta School District Board held their regular monthly meeting at Sparta Lincoln. A crowd of around 40 people filled the school’s library.
While the topic of consolidating the district’s two elementary schools, Evansville Attendance Center and Sparta Lincoln, was not on the evening’s agenda, it was the reason most were there. Some were even wearing shirts that stated, “Save Our School.”
