On July 19, the Missouri Department of Transportation held a public meeting in Perryville, MO, to discuss updated plans to replace the Chester Bridge. There was no formal presentation, but in the open house style meeting, the project team answered questions about the upcoming work. They also shared updated renderings of the proposed bridge. Pictured is one of the renderings. MoDOT’s design-build contractor, Ames Construction, will construct a three-tower, cable-stayed bridge, just north of the existing structure. Completion is anticipated by the end of 2026. Information shared during the meeting is also available at www.modot.org/chesterbridge.
