Three Red Bud High School track athletes advanced to state after competing in the IHSA Class 1A sectional held at Chester on May 22. Gavin Baldwin, pictured at left, qualified in both the 100m and 200m dash with two first place titles. Hunter Hooten, pictured in center, qualified for the 300m hurdles with a second place finish. Blayton Sutton, pictured at right, will compete in the long jump after taking second place at the sectional. The state meet will be held at Eastern Illinois University with prelims beginning on Thursday.
