A Sparta man was arrested last week on a warrant that stemmed from a fatal accident that took place in Red Bud last year.
On July 30, William D. Reese, 47, was arrested by the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office on a warrant for reckless homicide.
Red Bud Police Chief John Brittingham stated that the warrant for Reese was issued on July 7. The charge was based on the assertion that Reese was using his phone at the time of the Nov. 15, 2024 fatal two vehicle accident at the intersection of West Market Street and Linn Street in Red Bud.
