A pair of proposed solar projects was discussed at last Friday’s Randolph County Board of Commissioners meeting.
Jon Carson, managing partner for Trajectory Energy, was on hand to discuss the projects with the commissioners. The two projects, Blackstump Solar and Thimbleberry Solar, are both 5 MW projects that would be located approximately a mile north of Steeleville off of Blackstump Road.
Carson noted that Trajectory Energy is an Illinois based company that has done projects across the state, ranging from Rockford to southern Illinois. These are community solar projects that would tie into the Ameren grid. This will allow local residents who are Ameren customers to participate and see a savings of around 10 to 20 percent by subscribing.
