Shelba “Boots” L. Kempfer, 82, of Modoc, passed away at 2:24 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 5, 2022 at Memorial Hospital in Chester. The visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 12 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Prairie du Rocher. The funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 12 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Sebastian Ukoh officiating. Burial will be at St. Leo’s Catholic Cemetery in Modoc. Pechacek Funeral Homes in Red Bud is in charge of arrangements.
