Student and staff spotlights were the highlight of the Oct. 20 Red Bud Board of Education meeting.
From the elementary school, Principal Ryan McClellan noted that both Griffin Walter and Carter Lange were the spotlight students of the month.
Walter was nominated by first grade teacher Sarah North after an incident with fellow students. “He stood up and did the right thing. And it’s about doing the right thing and showing good character,” McClellan stated.
As for Lange, McClellan stated that back in September, while they were short staffed, he was trying to get a group of kindergarten students to the busses and Lange stepped in to help. “He’s a good kid and has a great attitude.”
