The Red Bud Royals cross country team participated in the Waterloo regional on Oct. 8 and earned a spot to the state meet which will be held at the DuQuoin Fairgrounds on Oct. 18. Jase Cooper placed eighth and will represent for the boys. The girls team placed second overall. Individual medals included Kelly Hahn – eighth, Lainey Simpson – sixth, Danica Narup – seventh, Lily Hess – third; Jase Cooper – eighth, Gabi Hess – ninth, Allie Melching and Penny Krack, members of the girls team.
