BUILDING DEDICATED–In this North County News file photo from 1971, Bishop Zuroweste, assisted by Father Engelhart, blesses the new St. Clement Hospital building during the dedication ceremony/open house. An estimated 2,500 people toured the building that day. Now known as Red Bud Regional Hospital, the hospital is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the building this week.
“Today, we honor and thank the men and women who built a foundation for Red Bud Regional Hospital over 120 years ago,” noted Vince Green, Red Bud Regional Hospital’s interim chief executive officer, about the current hospital building’s milestone anniversary this week.
The current Red Bud Regional Hospital building was opened on Dec. 3, 1971, however, its history is much more extensive.
