CLOSED FOR NOW–The Dairy Queen in Red Bud closed on Friday, Oct. 13. However, it won’t stay closed for too long as owner Doug Deterding plans to open a new restaurant there.
A staple in the community since the late 1970s, the Red Bud Dairy Queen closed on Friday, Oct. 13.
Owner Doug Deterding sat down with the North County News last week prior to the closure to discuss it and his future plans for the building.
“I want people to know that I plan on remodeling and going to something else,” he stated. “It hasn’t sold and it won’t sit empty. It’s just in a transition.”
