There wasn’t much on the agenda for the Red Bud City Council on Monday night, however one citizen’s comments about how a former police officer was treated by the city was the biggest part of the meeting.
In the early morning hours of May 23, 2021 there was an officer involved shooting in Red Bud. During the incident, the suspect, Timothy Snyder, shot Red Bud Officer Michael Collins in the leg, and Red Bud Officer Luke Horrell fatally shot Snyder.
Monday night, Jan. 3, Luke Horrell’s father, John Horrell, decided to address the council concerning their treatment of Luke.
