It was a brief meeting Monday night for the Red Bud City Council, with the biggest items of discussion being personnel matters.
While no discussion was held on the matter, the first personnel item approved by the council was the resignation of police officer Lucas Horrell, effective Dec. 1.
Next, the council approved of hiring Steven Sumner as an animal control warden. Police Chief John Brittingham added that they had increased the amount paid for the position, which is paid per call out.
