RCHS holding open house on July 6

It has been many years in the making, but the Randolph County Humane Society has finally moved into its new home.

To celebrate, they are holding an open house event and all are welcome. It will be held this Sunday, July 6 from 1-4 p.m. at 5752 State Route 4 in Steeleville.

At the open house there will be 50/50 drawings, attendance prizes, raffles, tours, food trucks, visits with K9 officers, rubber duck races, donor and sponsor recognitions, and much more.

RCHS Director Shelley Stewart noted that this year the organization is celebrating 30 years, and until now they were located in a small building at the Randolph County Fairgrounds in Sparta.
