Members of the Red Bud High School FFA Chapter gave a presentation to the Red Bud Board of Education at their June 16 meeting, in hopes of getting a new greenhouse.
FFA Advisor Brett Wilson noted that the greenhouse is around 27 years old and is out of date.
The chapter members outlined the various issues they have been experiencing with the current greenhouse. This includes hazards such as the floors always being wet and moss growing as a result, holes in the walls and lots of insects getting in, bolts breaking away from panels, walls that are not sturdy, hail damage on the roof, the cooling cell wall falling apart and being held together by duct tape.
