Getting ready for America’s 250th next year was one of the discussion items at the Sept. 2 Red Bud City Council meeting.
City Administrative Officer Jill Landgraf presented the council with an invoice from Arkansas Flag and Banner, Inc. to purchase decorative bunting.
The city’s America 250 committee had talked to the businesses downtown about decorating their businesses with buntings to celebrate the festivities that will be held next year. The committee wanted to place a bulk order for the buntings to help save on the overall cost. The city will be reimbursed for the cost as the money is collected from each participating business.
