“Prank” bomb threat called in to school

Just two weeks after addressing an alleged threat from a student at Red Bud High School, the school district received another alleged threat, but this time it was a non credible prank call.

On Sept. 4, Superintendent Jonathan Tallman sent a notice to district parents to advise of the situation.

He shared, “We received a voicemail from a Florida number that was clearly a prank call. You can hear what sounds like young boys giggling and threatening a bomb at school, then adding that it’s just a prank.”

While there was no concern about the threat being serious, Tallman noted that the school district did contact Red Bud Police Chief John Brittingham on the matter.
