Partnership with CCSI, Perandoe and SWIC discussed

While it was only a discussion item at the Oct. 16 Red Bud Board of Education meeting, a proposed agreement between three local schools was brought up.

Superintendent Jonathan Tallman noted there is a potential lease agreement for the Career Center of Southern Illinois (CCSI) and Perandoe Special Education District with Southwestern Illinois College (SWIC)’s Red Bud campus.

“It’s no surprise the CCSI campus is eroding and falling apart, and Perandoe has been renting part of SWIC,” Tallman said. “SWIC is wanting to expand, and CCSI and Perandoe need space, so SWIC has stepped up and will build a place where both can be under one roof. It is a wonderful and amazing solution.”
